Mrs. Murriel Jean Wilson,
age 80 of the Ingle community, departed this life on Monday,
December 12, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital
She was born on August 13,
1931 in Ingle, KY to the late Otha and Nell Lane Combest. Mrs.
Wilson was a graduate of Nancy High School, a seamstress for the
Palm Beach Clothing Company, a member of Senior Friends, and a
member of the Pleasant Point Baptist Church. She was a selfless
lady who dedicated her life to being a devoted wife, mother, and
grandmother. She was always caring for others and never expected
anything in return--a picture of love and kindness. Mrs. Wilson
loved to cook, garden, sew, read, and spend time with family, and
her grandchildren were most important to her.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by
four sons, Michael (and Ann) Wilson of Glasgow KY, Doug (and
Bobbie) Wilson of Nancy KY, Marty (and Janet) Wilson of Nancy KY,
and Joel (and Beth) Wilson of Nancy, KY; eight grandchildren;
Justin Wilson, Lynsey Wilson, Katie Wilson, Sarah Wilson,
Guy Foster, Josh Foster, Blake Foster and Ben Foster; twelve great
grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and two sisters, Bernice
(and Eddie) Coomer of Nancy, KY and Norma Adkins of Nancy, KY.
Along with her parents, she
was preceded in death by her husband, Dewel Wilson, whom she
married on November 18, 1950 in Science Hill, KY; a sister, Wanza
Merrick; a sister -in-law, Grace Howard; and two
brothers-in-law, William Adkins and Leland Merrick.
Visitation for Mrs. Wilson
will be held on Thursday, December 15th at 6:00 pm at
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be
held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 16th at the Chapel
of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Roy and Bro.
Kenneth Hamond officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Point
Cemetery.
The family requests
