Nathan Gene "Peanut" Guthrie, 35, of Eubank , Kentucky , passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington , Kentucky .

He was born in Livingston , Tennessee on March 12, 1976, son of Ronnie Gene and Shirley Sells Guthrie.  He was an employee for Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital .  He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and attended Eubank Baptist Church .  He loved his Lord very much.  Nathan was an avid UT Football fan and a fan of UK basketball.

He is survived by his parents, Ronnie Gene and Shirley Guthrie of Eubank, paternal grandparents, Gene and Edna Guthrie, one brother, Ryan Matthew & (Brittany) Guthrie of Science Hill, very special nephew, Knox William Guthrie, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.  He was a loving son and loved his family very much.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Billie Sells.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, August 5, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shelby Reynolds and Bro. Curtis Brock officiating.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery .

Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
