Norma Lucille Abner, age 64
of the Jabez community, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011
after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on June 30,
1946 in Shirley, Indiana, the daughter of Maxine Morrow Davis and
the late Lawrence Davis. She was a retired House Supervisor for
the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home.
Mrs. Abner is survived by
her mother, Maxine Davis of Jabez, KY; three sons, Bill (and
Susan) Davis of Nancy, KY, Chris (and Joetta) Davis of Jabez, KY,
and Brian (and Jennifer) Abner of Somerset, KY; six grandchildren;
Tracy Fields, Jamie Davis, Andrea Davis, Amber Davis, Alex Abner,
and Natalie Abner; a great grandchild, Joey Perry; and a brother,
Greg (and Gayle) Davis of Nancy, KY.
Along with her father,
Lawrence Davis, she was preceded in death by a son, Brad Abner;
and two brothers, Roy J. Davis and Joey Davis.
Visitation for Norma will
be Friday, April 1st at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home with her funeral service to follow at 1:00
pm. Dr. Greg Ryan and Bro. Dallas Burton will officiate. Burial
will be in the Morrow’s Chapel Cemetery in Jabez, KY.
