University Medical Center. He was born August 29, 1951 in
the Keno Community, a son of the late Arnold David and Rose Super Davis.

Kentucky, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2002 at Lake Cumberland
Regional Hospital. She was
born July 28,1916 at Mill Branch, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Squire Whitaker and Ida (Hogg) Whitaker. She was a
retired receptionist for the U. S. Forest Service, a graduate of Stuart
Robinson High School and Fugazzi Business School, a weekly volunteer at
Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and a twenty-five year member of
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she taught the Adult Ladies Sunday
School Class. She is
survived by one son Robert D. (and Katy) Caudill of Naples, Florida; two
daughters Betty C. (and Conroy) Hooper of Las Vegas, NV. and Patricia A.
(and Jack) Pigman of Somerset; two brothers Neldon Whitaker of Roxana,
Kentucky and James Whitaker of Inkster, MI; three sisters Mary Jane
Davis of Anderson, SC, Ina Mae Ison of Somerset, KY. and Phyllis A.
Gibson of Spanaway, WA; one granddaughter Sharon Kay Dubois; two

Roscoe V. Gaddis, 86, Hwy. 1247
passed away Monday November 4, 2002 at Lake Cumberland Regional
Hospital. He was born February 23, 1916 in
Pulaski County Kentucky, a son of the late William Gaddis and Sarah Jane
(Wesley) Gaddis. He was Owner of Gaddis Used Cars. He is survived by two daughters,
Violet J. Pierce, Louisville, KY. and Boicel M. Noe, Florence, KY.; two
brothers, Charlie Gaddis, Science Hill, KY. and Don Gaddis, Ohio; five
sisters, Minnie Wesley, Science Hill, KY., Pearl Allen, Arizona, Merlie
Bryant, Ohio, Mildred Elliott, Ohio and Mathel Jenkins, Somerset, KY.; 5
grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his
parents; his wife, Stella Mae (Lee) Gaddis, whom he married on April,
15, 1984 and who passed away February 1, 1935; five brothers, Luther,
Ransom, Roy, Robert, & Ralph Gaddis; one grandchild James Noe.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Wednesday November 6, 2002 at the Chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Brother Darry Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6:00 P. M. Tuesday November 5, 2002 at the Chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.

Glenda Alice (Smith) Armes, 49,
Oakridge, TN. passed away Friday November 1, 2002 at the Methodist Medical
Center in Oakridge, TN. She was born August 16, 1953 in
Pulaski County, KY., a daughter of the late Roy B. Smith and Ruby Edith
(Sneed) Smith. She was ahomemaker and a member of the Covington Baptist
Church in Tennessee. She is survived by a special
friend, Geary McPeters on Tennessee; two sons, William Lee Smith and Eulin
Dale Smith, both of Lexington, KY.; one daughter, Goldie (and Tim) Harrill,
Powell, TN.; five sisters, Velma Mae Smith, Peggy (and Ronald) Spence,
Goldie Marie Allen and Faye (and Bobby) Carroll, all of Cincinnati, OH.
and Imogene (and Jack) Spence, Lexington, KY.; 5 grandchildren and 1 step
grandchild. She was preceded in death by her
parents; one brother, Ervin Junior Smith; one sister, Joyce Kaye Smith. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday November 5, 2002 at the Bethelridge United Methodist Church with Brother mark McGee officiating. Burial will be in the Bethelridge Cemetery, Bethelridge, KY. John Logan Hargis, 75, East
452, passed away Friday November 1, 2002 at lake Cumberland Regional
Hospital. He was born December 24, 1926 in
the Bobtown Community of Pulaski County, Kentucky, the son of the late
James Henry Hargis and Sarah Jane (Whitter). He was a retired saw mill
worker and of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Betty
Lou (Moore) Hargis, whom he married on January 19, 1945 in Crossville,
TN.; two sons, Roy Wayne (And Ann) Hargis, Hustonville, KY. and Johnnie
Ray (and Bonnie) Hargis, Somerset, KY.; four daughters, Sarah Ann
Hargis, Somerset, KY., Martha Marie (and David) Murphy, Burnside, KY.,
Vickie Sue (and Jerry) Smiley, Somerset, KY. and Nancy Darlene Godbey,
Somerset, KY.; one sister, Martha Nancy Thompson, Indiana; 16
grandchildren, Mary Jane and Andy Hargis, Dale and John Robert Phelps,
Samantha, Bonnie, Jerri Beth, Kevin Lee, John and Jerry Wayne Smiley,
Zachary and Everett Goodin, Ashley, David Brandon and Dustin Murphy and

Chair, Somerset, KY. and of the Church of Christ. He is survived by three sons,

Pennington, Winchester, KY. amd Roger (and Vickie) Pennington, Somerset,
KY.; four brothers, Eugene Pennington, Wooten, KY., Ed Pennington,
Berea, KY., John Pennington, Berea, KY. and Bradley Pennington, Berea,
KY.; three sisters, Mavie Joseph, Leslie, Co. KY., Goldie Bailey, Berea,
KY. and Alphie Bowman, Brookville, IN.; five grandchildren, Kim Utt,

residence. She was born June 8, 1930 in Cob
Hill, KY., a daughter of the late Everett Smith and Lillie (Hall) Smith.
She was a homemaker and a member of Fairborn Church of Christ in
Fairborn, OH. She is survived by two daughters,
Glenda Hines, Hillsboro, OH. and Geneen Cox, North Pole, AL.; one
sister, Wilma Pizarro, Winton, CA.; three grandchildren, Jim Hines, Greg
Hines and Adria Hines; 3 great grandchildren, Hayden, Uriah and Ethan
Hines. She was preceded in death by her
parents, her husband, Claude Glen Combest, whom she married on February
24, 1951 and who passed away June 18, 1995; two brothers, Julius and
