Opal Inabnit, age 85 of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Sunrise Manor Nursing & Rehab. 

She was born on January 11, 1926 in Pulaski County, Kentucky to the late Walter and Grace Baker McKinney.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Mrs. Inabnit loved quilting, flowers, knitting and gardening.  She worked at Palm Beach as a supervisor and loved her job.  She also worked at Ead’s IGA. 

She is survived by a son, David Inabnit of Somerset, KY, two step-sons, Gary (and Carol) Inabnit of Dry Ridge, KY and Ronnie (and Barbara) Inabnit of Union, KY; one grandson, Clinton David Inabnit; one granddaughter, Amber Renee Hall; step-grandchildren, Kim (and Donnie) Hodges of Burlington, KY, Tim (and Sonya) Inabnit or Burlington, KY, Tammy Inabnit of Florence, KY, Ron (and Missy) Inabnit of Union, KY and Gary (and Dana) Inabnit of Crittenden, KY, Steve Inabnit of Union, KY and Ron (and Yukari) Inabnit, Jr. of Fort Thomas, KY; one great grandson, Camdyn Lee Gage Hall of Somerset, KY; twelve step great-grandchildren, Beau and Brittany Inabnit, Brendan and Bridget Hodges, Morgan and Caden Poe, Megan and Maxwell Inabnit, Logan and Braxten Inabnit and Steven and Samantha Inabnit; four sisters, Thelma Johnson of Somerset, KY, Lillie Waddle of Norwood, OH, Reba Cawood of East Bernstadt, KY and Alma England of Orlando, KY; two sisters-in-law, Wyonia McKinney of Laurel, IN and Ruth McKinney of Somerset, KY.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Inabnit and her second husband, Thelma “R.T.” Inabnit; four brothers, George, Charles, Edward and Bobby McKinney; three sisters, Dorotha McKinney, Mary Ellen McKinney and Ruby McKinney.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm.  Brother James Floyd will officiate.  Burial will be in the Barnesburg Cemetery.
