Owen Andrew Duckett, 84, of Somerset , Kentucky , passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at his residence.

He was born in Edinburgh , Indiana on March 25, 1927, son of the late Riley and Hallie Abbett Duckett.  He was in personnel management for Civil Service and a U.S. Navy World War II veteran.  He was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church in Trafalgar , IN and attended First Christian Church in Somerset , KY.   Mr. Duckett was an accomplished fiddle player and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Donahue Kean Duckett of Franklin , IN , one brother, Maurice Duckett of Columbus , IN and two sisters, Margaret Jane Noblitt of Columbus , IN and Thelma June Stoneburner of San Diego , CA .

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Earlyne Jean Haugh Duckett, who died on October 7, 1999, his parents and one brother, Cecil Duckett.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin, IN with Bro. Mike Gatton officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin , IN.

Visitation will be after 11 AM Saturday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home.
