Patsy Earline Garner Stringer

September 6, 1936 - May 27, 2008

Patsy Earline Garner Stringer, age 71, of Somerset passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at her residence.

Mrs. Stringer was born in Somerset on September 6, 1936 to the late Earl P. & Polly B. Sawyer Garner. She was co owner of Stringer’s Upholstery as an upholsterer and seamstress with her husband, Arthur L. Stringer. She was a faithful member of the West Somerset Baptist Church and loved camping, grandchildren and family.

Mrs. Stringer is survived by a son, Stephen Brad Stringer (and wife, Wynona) of Ferguson, KY.; two daughters, Debra Hill (and husband, Mark) of Somerset and Rebecca Montgomery (and husband, Mike) of Marion, VA.; a brother, Gerald Garner (and wife, Joan), Somerset; a sister, Jane Stephens, Waynesburg, KY and 5 grandchildren, Michael Hill, Gabriel Hill, Mikayla Montgomery, Makenzie Montgomery, Mia Stringer.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Stringer whom she married December 7, 1955 in West Somerset; a son, Gary Lee Stringer and a sister, Delores Curtis.

Funeral services for Patsy Stringer will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008 at West Somerset Baptist Church at 11:00am with Bro Larry Butte officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 6:00pm in the Memory Chapel at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home and after 10 am Friday May 30, 2008 at the West Somerset Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Gideon Memorial Bible Plan and Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
