Ramona Cox Livesay, age 84 of Eubank, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at her residence.

She was born on April 18, 1927 in Green County, Kentucky to the late David and Norma Osborne Cox.  Mrs. Livesay was a devoted Christian.   She was a member of Science Hill Methodist Church.  She dearly enjoyed dairy farming and the outdoors.  She worked every day alongside her late husband, Joe.  The two of them together were a matched pair. 

She is survived by two sons, John (and Jayne) Livesay and Sam (and Jeanette) Livesay, both of Eubank, KY; five sisters, Sally Shuffet, Barb Givens, Fanola Upton, Dorothy Givens and Ella May (and Marvin), all of Green County, KY; five grandchildren, Stewart (and Jennifer) Livesay of Chicago, Illinois, Melanie (and Miles) Phelps of Lexington, KY, Matt (and Tracey) Livesay, Jill (and Martin) Wheeldon and Logan Livesay, all of Eubank, KY; eight great grandchildren, Morgan, Savannah, Marshall, Lucas, Dekker, Ty, Hagan and Penielle; a host of nieces and nephews; and very special caregivers who went way above and beyond what was asked of them, Bobbie, Justin, Ranck, Suzette Works and Jan Plock. 

Along with her parents David and Norma Cox, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Livesay, whom she married in Taylor County in 1946; a brother, Crawford Cox; two sisters, Nellie Lee Downy and Mildred Coffey. 

Visitation for Ramona Cox Livesay will be Saturday, July 2, 2011 after 10:00 am at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky with funeral service to follow at 12:30 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.  Brother Wayne Watts and Brother Ernest Martin officiating.  Interment will be in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
