Richard Early

   May 17, 1934 - March 25, 2012

Richard Early, age 77 of Somerset departed this life on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Mr. Early was born on May 17, 1934 in Mark, KY to the late Kattie (Claunch) and Stephen Early. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War, a truck driver for Garner Transportation, and a member of the Mt. Calvary Community Church.

He is survived by five sons, Timothy Early of Somerset, Talmage (and Teresa) Early of Science Hill, KY, Steven (and Patty) Early of Salem, OR, David Teddy Bear of London, KY, and Samuel Early of Burkesville, KY; two daughters, Tracy (and James) Perkins of White Lily, KY and Belinda Gail Early of White Lily, KY; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, George (and Jenny Strunk) Early of Somerset; five sisters, Lois (and Lester) McWilliams of Somerset, Wanda (and Gordon) Girdler of Somerset, Judy (and Paul) Loveless of Somerset, Anna (and Terry) Parnell of Butler, KY, and Thelma (and Frank) Collins of Windsor, PA; a host of nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Anna Small Early, and brother-in-law, Bill Hilll of Dayton, KY.

Mr. Early was preceded in death by his parents;  a son, Levi Early; three brothers, Manford, John, and Melvin Early; and a sister, Lola Hill.

Visitation for Mr. Early will be Thursday, March 29th at 9:00 am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Brother Clarence Adams and Sister Lori Adams will officiate.
