Richard
“Rick” Coleman Sears, age 46 of the Hail Community departed
this life on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at his residence.
He
was born on October 28, 1964 in Somerset, KY to the late Vernon
Sears and Vanna Ridner Sears of the White Lily community. He
was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2 where he served as
a deacon and active member.
Mr.
Sears is survived by his mother, Vanna Ridner Sears, his wife,
Sheri Massengill Sears, whom he married on March 26, 1983 in
Somerset, KY; his mother-in-law, Linda Hensley of the Poplarville
community; two daughters, Stacy (and Brian) Hutchins of the Slate
Branch community and Marina (and Nathan) Clark of Ringgold Road,
Somerset; two grandchildren, Jarod Hutchins and Makenzie Hutchins
and a grandchild expected in August of this year; four brothers,
Ron (and Norma) Sears of the White Lily community, Dave (and
Erika) Sears of Nancy, KY, Tim Sears of the White Lily community
and Jim (and Stefanie) Sears of Somerset; and one sister, Darlene
Massengill.
He
was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Sears.
Visitation
for Mr. Sears will be Friday, April 29th at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 W. Hwy. 80, Somerset, KY after 6 pm
and also on Saturday, April 30th at Mt. Zion Baptist
Church #2, Poplarville Road, Somerset, KY from 11:00 to 1:00
pm.
Funeral
service for Mr. York will be Saturday, April 30th at 1
pm at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2, Poplarvile Road, Somerset
with Brother Steve Sutton and Brother Doug Eggers officiating.
Burial will be in the White Lily Cemetery. Pallbearers for
Mr. Sears will be Bobby Whitis, Brandon Massengill, Bruce Sears,
Ron Rast, Dillon Sears, Lige Stearns, Stanley Wesley and Robert
Massengill.
