Rose Hart, age 85 of the
Oak Hill community, departed this life on Monday, February 7, 2011
at her home.
She was born on August 2,
1925 in Pulaski County, KY to the late Sam and Allie Finnicum
West. Mrs. Hart was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Hill
Baptist Church. She had worked for many years at the Palm Beach
Clothing Factory in Somerset and was a granny at Oakwood. She
worked in the nursery at Oak Hill Baptist Church and oversaw the
Sunday School Class Flower Fund. Mrs. Hart loved to crochet and
farm.
Mrs. Hart is survived by
her son, James Clayton “J.C.” Hart of Somerset, KY; a
daughter, Pamela Jill Hart of Somerset, KY; six grandchildren,
Chris (and Rachel) Jones, Darin (and Meranda) Jones, Nathan Kidd,
Alisha Kidd, Kim Oliver, and Jeff (and Kristi) Sullivan; nine
great grandchildren; and a sister, Christine West Hunt of
Cincinnati, OH.
Along with her parents, she
was preceded in death by her husband, James Hart; a daughter,
Connie Lou Hart Meece; a grandchild, Austin Tyler Kidd; ten
brothers, Arthur West, Prince West, John D. “Jay” West, Mark
West, Melvin West, Isaac “Ike” West, Paul West, George West,
Lawrence Baugh, and Raymond Baugh; and five sisters, Ethel West,
Vera West, Nancy West, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Baugh, and Anna
West.
Visitation for Mrs. Hart
will be Wednesday, February 9th at 11:00am at the Oak
Hill Baptist Church in Somerset with her funeral service to follow
at 2:00 pm. Bro. Gary Phelps will officiate. Interment will be in
the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
