Ruth Frances Durham, 80, of Waynesburg , Kentucky , passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital .

She was born in Hogue , Kentucky on December 16, 1930, daughter of the late John Thomas and Marie Godsey Dick.  She was a homemaker and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church , where she taught the nursery for many years.

She is survived by one son, David & (Vickie) Durham of Waynesburg, KY, three daughters, Shirley & (Eric) Noble of Casa Grande, AR, Wanda & (Richard) Ward of Harriman, TN,  Connie & (John) Long of Versailles, KY, four grandchildren, Patrick & (Jill) Durham, Kelly & (Chris) Carrigan, Daniel & (Mirah) Noble, Jody & (Amanda) Long, four great-grandchildren, three brothers and five sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Durham, whom she married on January 3, 1949 and who passed away on March 9, 1995 and one grandson, Shane Michael Ward.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday, August, 3, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating.

Burial will be in King Bee Cemetery .
