Sharon Elizabeth Stogsdill, age 54 of Somerset, KY departed this life on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on July 16, 1956 in Somerset, KY to Elbert Cook and the late Roberta Burdine Cook. She was an employee for Lifeline Home Health Care as a commercial billing clerk. Mrs. Stogsdill was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and currently taught the Adult Ladies Sunday School class. She loved photography and enjoyed cooking and her family.

Mrs. Stogdsill is survived by her father, Elbert Cook of Brownsburg, IN; a daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Stogsdill of Somerset, KY; a sister, Connie Lee (and Mike) Herring of Brownsburg, IN; an aunt, Loretta Truex of Jamestown, IN; a niece, Michele Lee Herring of Brownsburg, IN; two nephews, Michael Herring of Brownsburg, IN and William Herring of Brownsburg, IN; and her father and mother-in-law, Herman and Pauline Stogsdill of Somerset, KY.

Along with her mother, Roberta Cook, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Mitchell Stogsdill, whom she married on July 29, 1972 in Liston, IN.

Visitation for Mrs. Stogsdill will be Monday, April 4^th at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Bro. Gilbert Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in the Pine Thickett Cemetery. Mrs. Stogsdill’s nephews will serve as her pallbearers.
