Sondra Lou Steele, age 71, of Somerset, KY passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Steele was born in Somerset, KY on October 27, 1939 to the late Deward and Hazel Jones Whitaker. She was a clerk for Experience Works, enjoyed quilting and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Steele is survived by two sons, Jimmie (& Pam) Steele of Somerset, KY and David Lee Steele of Lexington, KY; a grandson, Brandon Scott; a great granddaughter, Kierstyn Renee Steele; and two special friends, Martha Meadows and Karen Fox.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Steele, who died on January 20, 1994.

Visitation for Mrs. Steele will be held on Tuesday, March 8^th at 10:00 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Bro. William Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Victory Christian Church Cemetery.
