Stanley Arthur Taylor, 88, of Science Hill , Kentucky , passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital .

He was born in Mangum , Kentucky on February 13, 1923, son of the late Charlie and Sallie Ashley Taylor.  He was an electrician and a member of First Baptist Church of Science Hill.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Mae Hall Taylor, two sons, Rocky & (Jan) Hendricks and Royce & (Kathern) Hendricks, two daughters, Raynette & (Jeff) Meece all of Science Hill and Hope Heimpold of Loveland, OH, one sister, Minnie Elliott of Cincinnati, OH, twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Teresa Moore of Somerset.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Roy Hendricks, one daughter who died in infancy, four brothers, Preston , Luther, Robert and Doyle, three sisters, Mary Wesley, Martha Taylor and Dorthy Buis, a son-in-law, Jeff Heimpold, a brother and sister in infancy, and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2 PM Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Massey officiating.  

Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery .

Visitation will be after 11 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
