Stephen “Steve” Dale Grant Pittman, age 59 of Nancy, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at his residence.

He was born on  in Cincinnati, Ohio to Katherine Stringer and the late Harold Pittman.  He was formerly  a concrete finisher for Larry Stringer Concrete Company.  He attended St. Patrick Episcopal Church.  He loved hunting, fishing and camping.

Mr. Pittman is survived by his wife, Michelle Tate Pittman; two sons, Billy Ray and Earl Eugene Pittman, both of Somerset, KY; a daughter, Lisa Pittman of Somerset, KY; his mother, Katherine Stringer Griffith of Somerset, KY; six grandchildren, Chelsea, Landon, Austin, Cheyenne, Abbi and Angel; three brothers, Douglas (and Devonne) Pittman, John (and Lynn) Pittman and Jason (and Christy) Griffith, all of Somerset, KY; three sisters, Sherry Lewis of Somerset, KY, Cindy Darlene Pittman of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Janice Elaine (and Mike) Thomas of Somerset, KY. 

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Dewayne Pittman, Richard Bruce Pittman and Kevin Griffith. 

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at St. Patrick Episcopal Church in Somerset, Kentucky.
