Susie Leigh Kendrick Jones, 74, of Science Hill , Kentucky passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at Christian Care Center in Lancaster , Kentucky .

She was born in Mt. Zion , Kentucky on September 18, 1936, daughter of the late Chester "Chek" and Stella Mae Smith Leigh.  She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Casey Jones, one daughter, Vivian Phillips of Science Hill, two brothers, Roy Leigh of Lexington, KY and Coy Leigh of Burnside, two grandchildren, Shala Louise & (Corey) Williams and Donnie Lee Phillips and three great-grandchildren, Joshua Corey Williams, Alysha Elizabeth Nicole Williams and Trenton Lee Williams.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James "Jim" Walter Kendrick, her parents, son-in-law, Donald Phillips and four brothers, Harold Leigh, Deter Leigh, Freddie Leigh and Milford Leigh.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday, June 13, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Delmer Whitter officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery .

Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
