Terry Robinette, age 52 of
Nancy, KY, formerly of Monroe, Michigan, departed this life on
Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional
Hospital.
He was born on October 3,
1958 in Williamson, WV to the late Irvin and Ollie Stanley
Robinette. Mr. Robinette worked as a porter saw operator for Ace
Package in Newport, MI and a truck driver for Johnson Control in
Monroe, MI. He was a Boy Scout when he was younger, Junior
Achievement when younger, and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Robinette
had a passion for the Detroit Tigers Baseball and old cars. He
loved going to the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit and the
Somernites Cruise in Somerset.
Mr. Robinette is survived
by his wife, Tammy Cooper Robinette, whom he married on June 24,
1985 in Guntersville, AL; two daughters, Tiffany Robinette of
Nancy, KY and Tanya Robinette (and Rex) of Nancy, KY; three
grandchildren, Mariah, Nicklas, and Toby; a sister, Elaine
Robinette Wade (and husband, Larry) of Nancy, KY; uncles, Raymond
Robinette of Pike County, KY, Benny (and Patty) Stanley of North
Carolina, and Jr. Robinette of Michigan; aunts, Patricia (and Hop)
Alexander of Tennessee, Vicie Wethy of West Virginia, Dixie
Williamson of Colorado, and Jettie Gibson of Pike County, KY; many
nieces, nephews, and cousins; two brothers-in-law, Rick Strauss of
Ohio and Mike Gibson of Monroe, MI; a sister-in-law, Patty
(and Rudy) Tovar of Pontiac, MI; and many friends.
Along with his parents, he
was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Kay Cadwell; and a
sister-in-law, Karolyn Gibson.
Visitation for Mr. Robinson
will be Sunday, February 13th after 2:00 pm at the
Remembrance Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with a memorial
service to follow at 4:00 pm. Bro. David Muse will officiate.
The family requests
expressions of sympathy be made to the Terry Robinette Memorial
Fund c/o Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
