T.J. Dye, age 83 of
Somerset, KY, formerly of the Poynter community, departed this
life on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional
Hospital.
He was born February 18,
1927 in the Poynter community of Pulaski County, KY to the late
Chester and Ella Roy Dye. He was a United States Army veteran of
WWII, farmer and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Dye was an avid U.K.
basketball and football fan.
Mr. Dye is survived by his
wife, Lucille Wilson Dye, whom he married on June 9, 1995 of
Somerset, KY; two, Ronald Glenn Dye of Florence, KY and M.C. Dye
of Indiana; and a sister-in-law, Ailene Dye of Nancy, KY
Along with his parents, he
was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Arthur, and
Albert Dye; and a sister, Evelyn Carter.
Visitation for Mr. Dye will
be Sunday, February 6th from 5:00pm – 8:00 pm at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be
held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 7th at the
Remembrance Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Chaplain
Clarence Floyd officiating. Burial will be in the Mill Springs
National Cemetery in Nancy, KY. The American Legion Post #38 Honor
Guard will conduct full military honors for Mr. Dye.
