Tommy “Tom” O. Mozea, age 59 of Somerset, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. 

He was born on May 12, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Blaine and Betty Mongenas Mozea.  He served in the United States Air Force.  He worked as a general laborer in construction.  Mr. Mozea was a member of the United Church of Christ.  He was an avid sportsman and horse trader. 

He is survived by his wife, Connie Tucker Mozea, whom he married on April 21, 1978 in Fort Thomas, Kentucky; a son, Chris (and Tammy) Ries of Somerset, KY; a daughter, Catherine (and Sammy) Price of Somerset, KY; and three grandchildren, Allen Brown, Cheyene Ries and Tucker Price.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 6:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm.  Brother Gilbert Robinson will officiate.
