Trina
Kaye Rutherford, age 37 of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life
on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She
was born on September 18, 1974 in Somerset, Kentucky to Ralph Jr.
and Ola Mae Baggett Rutherford. She was a 1993 Somerset High
School graduate and a member of Duke Memorial Baptist Church.
Trina never met a stranger or forgot a name. She loved to
shop, eating out, spending time with her family, and talking on
the phone.
She
is survived by her parents, Ralph Jr. and Ola Mae Baggett
Rutherford; three brothers, Jim (and Penny) Rutherford of
Somerset, KY, Tim Rutherford of Somerset, KY and Ralph III (and
Angie) Rutherford of Somerset, KY; three sisters, Laura Sue (and
Troy) Poynter of Woodstock, KY, Lisa Rutherford of Somerset, KY
and Janet (and Bobby) Littrell of Somerset, KY; several nieces and
nephews, Rusty and Brian Rutherford, Andrew Rutherford, David
Rutherford, Amber Travis, Jaclyn (and Brian) Vaught, Brandi
Burton, Alan Garner, Colby Mink and Holli Littrell; several great
nieces and nephews, Olivia Travis, Zack Travis, Graham Vaught,
Faith Vaught, Zack Vaught, John Paul Vaught and Connor Loos ; very
special friends, “Momma” Brenda Burton of Nancy, KY, Jennifer
Nealy and Christopher George; a special pet companion,
Abigail Kaye; and many other aunts, uncles, and special friends.
She
was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ralph Sr. and
Thelma C. Rutherford, maternal grandparents F. M. and Jewell Dyess
Baggett; a brother, Russell Glen Rutherford; an uncle, Frank L.
Rutherford; a nephew, Ralph Rutherford IV; a niece, Samantha Rae
Rutherford; and a sister-in-law, Scherrie Lynn Whitis Rutherford.
Visitation
will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2011 after 5:00 pm at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral
service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11:00 am at
the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother David
Morris and Brother David Baker officiating. Burial will be
in Somerset Cemetery. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The
family request expressions of sympathy to be made to God’s Food
Pantry and/or Gideon Memorial Bible Fund.
