Valerie Dean Casada Mink

July 3, 1951 - July 17, 2008

Mrs. Valerie Dean Casada Mink, age 57 of Bronston, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on July 3, 1951 in Somerset to the Julie Gragg Casada and the late Nolan Casada. She was the owner of the Easy Stop Place in Bronston and a member of the Buncombe Baptist Church. She enjoyed raising flowers, gardening, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Mrs. Mink is survived by her husband, Lee Mink, whom she married on April 8, 2001 in Somerset; a son, Bro. Grant (and Jill) Hardwick of Somerset; two stepsons, Jason (and Amy) Mink of Somerset and Anthony Mink of Bronston, KY; a daughter, Spring (and Bobby) Hurtt of Bronston, KY; a stepdaughter, Christy Mink of Eubank, KY; a brother, Rodney (and Connie) Casada of Somerset; five grandchildren, Zabery Hurtt, Wyatt Hurtt, Isaac Hardwick, Andrew Hardwick, and Eli Hardwick; four step grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren, and Ashley Crabtree, and Levi Mink; a grandfather, Arlie Hargis of Somerset; special friends, Janet Hargis, Sheila Hubbard, and Sue Hargis; and a host of other family members.

Preceding her in death was her father, Nolan Casada.

Visitation for Mrs. Mink will be Sunday, July 20^th after 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Funeral service will held Monday, July 21^st at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Pat Lawson, Bro. J.S. New, and Bro. Ulanda Price. Burial will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Bronston, KY.
