Wayne Hensley Sr., age 65
of Somerset, KY departed this life on Thursday, January 27, 2011
at his residence.
He was born on February 24,
1945 in Stanford, KY to Nancy Hoskins McAninch and the late Benny
Hensley. He served in the United States Navy, was a musician, and
of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Hensley is survived by
his mother and stepfather Nancy (and Carnell) McAninch of
Somerset, KY; a son, Wayne Hensley (and wife, Beth Ann) of
London, KY; a daughter, Misty Craft of London, KY; four
grandchildren, Ciarra Hensley, Kayne Hensley, Jacklyne Craft, and
Blake Craft; two brothers, Ben Hensley (and wife, Francis) of
Somerset, KY and George Hensley (and wife, Shelia) of Burgin, KY;
a sister, Alice Clark (and husband, Phil) of Danville, KY; two
sisters-in-law, Kay Hensley of Stanford, KY and Linda Hensley of
Somerset, KY; and friend and caregiver, Lige Stearns of Somerset,
KY.
Along with his father,
Benny Hensley, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Phil and
Mark Hensley.
Visitation for Mr. Hensley
will be on Sunday, January 30th at 12 Noon at the
Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with his funeral service to
follow at 2:00 pm. Bro. Steve Sutton will officiate. Burial will
be in the Peck Cemetery in Lincoln County, KY.
