"Wayne" Sowder, 57, of
Somerset
,
Kentucky
, left this world to reside with God on February 26, 2011.
He
was born in
Somerset
,
Kentucky
on April 5, 1953 to Mitchell, Jr. "Bud" and Mary White
Sowder, who preceded him in death.
Wayne
married his one true love, Tina Marie Tudor Sowder, on June 15,
1973. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Taft Edward
& (Rolanda) Sowder and Alexander Joe Sowder. He also has two
grandchildren, Dakota and Sommer, who were the light of his life.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather to them all and
his passing leaves a huge hole in their lives.
He
also leaves, two brothers, Calvin & (Angela) Bell of Crescent
Springs, KY, and Kurtis & (Cindy) Bell of Science Hill, KY,
three sisters, Margie & (Andy) Kardeen of Louisville, KY,
Jennie & (Wendell) McQueen of Somerset, KY and Fran &
(Scott) Troxtel of Science Hill, KY. Nieces and Nephews, Jackson
and Tyler Bell, Kyle Bell, Michael & (Allison) Pitzer,
Jonathon Kardeen & (Brandy), Miranda & (Patrick) Ankeny,
Jonathan & (Aimee) McQueen, April McQueen & (Nick), Jordan
and Jaclyn Troxtel, numerous other relatives and friends.
Along
with his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-father,
Howard Bell, his maternal grandparents, Charley & Tiny Peeples
White and his paternal grandparents, Mitchell, Sr. & Bonnie
Hall Sowder and his mother-in-law, Martha "Cogy" Helbert.
Wayne
was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church of
Science Hill.
Wayne
was employed at TTAI and truly loved everyone he worked with. He
enjoyed working with computers, jigsaw puzzles, wood carving and
playing video games.
Wayne
was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed by
everyone.
A
funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at
First Baptist Church of Science Hill with Bro. Ed Massey
officiating.
Burial
will be in
Lakeside
Memorial
Gardens
.
Visitation
will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Chapel of Morris
& Hislope Funeral Home and after 9 AM Wednesday at First
Baptist Church of Science Hill.
