Wilbern Martin Thompson, 73, of the Bee Lick Community, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at his residence.

He was born in Rockcastle County , Kentucky on October 11, 1936, son of the late Charlie Martin and Lucy Olgia Debord Thompson.  He was a farmer and a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby Jean Blankenship Thompson of Crab Orchard, KY, one son, Terry Martin & (Cassy) Thompson of Eubank, three sisters, Eulala Rogers of Bronston, Nellene Debord of Eubank and Joyce Thompson of Somerset, one grandchild, Hunter Martin Thompson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Velma Lee Brown.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Hill, Bro. Arnold Larkin and Bro. Thaddeus Eubank officiating.

Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery .

Visitation for Wilbern Martin Thompson will be after 6 PM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home
