Winifred B. Vaught, age 90 of Somerset, KY departed this life on Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on August 22, 1920 in Mark community of Pulaski County, KY to the late Arnold and Alma Whitson Hansford. Mrs. Vaught was a homemaker and lifelong member of the Fellowship Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, and canning beans.

Mrs. Vaught is survived by her sons, James R. (and Lucille) Vaught of Somerset, KY and William M. (and Shernetta) Vaught of Somerset, KY; grandchildren, Lisa (and Barry) Erp, Sandra (and Noland) Brinson, Kim (and Patrick) Hunley, Dale Vaught, Scott (and Missy) Nix, Donny (and Teresa) Nix, and Tangy (and Michael) Stogsdill; great grandchildren, Jeremy Nix, Amber Nix, Caleb Nix, Jarod Stogsdill, Hannah Nix, Jacob Nix, Abbey Stogsdill, and Josey Stogsdill; a sister, Margaret (and James ) Latham of Somerset, KY; a special friend and roommate, Faye McEem; and all her friends and the staff at Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Vaught, whom she married on December 23, 1939 in London, KY and who died on May 10, 2007; a sister, Verda Ping; and a great grandson, Cody C. Nix.

Visitation for Mrs. Vaught will be Sunday, March 13^th at 12 Noon at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with her funeral to follow at 2:00 pm. Bro. Scotty Nix and Bro. Buddy Barnett will officiate. Burial will be in the Bobbitt Cemetery.
