Winston Kyle Wright, age 69, of Somerset, KY passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at his residence.

Winston Kyle Wright was born in Touristville, KY on February 3, 1941 to the late Ralph and Wanda Toney Wright Morrow. Mr. Wright was U.S Army Korean Veteran. Mr. Wright was a master barber for over 40 years and retired from Hubble’s Barber Shop, member of Mill Springs Baptist Church, American Legion Post 38, and the VFW. He enjoyed playing checkers, telling jokes, and meeting people.

Mr. Wright is survived by three sons; Winston Leon Wright of Science Hill, KY, Kyle Kingsley Wright of Somerset, KY, Bill “Larry” Wright of Somerset, KY, two brothers; Kerry Morrow of Somerset, KY, Ronnie Morrow of Lexington, KY, a sister; Shertina “Sherry” McMullin of Augusta, GA, six grandchildren; Channing Wright Coyle (and JR), Kyle Blaine Wright, Destiny Yavonne Jade Wright, Matthew John Will Wright, Laura B. Nicole Masters (and Shane), Bill Michael Wright, three great-grandchildren; Rylee, Lyndzee, Kaiden, a special niece; Jenny Lynn VanHook of Burnside, KY, numerous nieces, nephews, and his trusted side kick “Dogg”.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a sister; Yavonne VanHook.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 6:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Winston Kyle Wright will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Memory Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Mill Springs Cemetery in Wayne County, KY.  Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post 38 Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s foundation and/or the Winston K. Wright Memorial Fund c/o Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
