Woodrow
Adams, age 81 of Nancy, Kentucky, departed this life on Monday,
June 13, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He
was born on September 28, 1929 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the
late Lillie and Polly Coots Adams. He was of the Protestant
faith. He was an I.U.E. member. He played the
mandolin. Mr. Adams loved camping and gardening.
He loved spending time with his grandkids.
Mr.
Adams is survived by his wife, Beulah Adams, whom he married on
April 13, 1960 in Wise, Virginia. Together they had twin
daughters, Pamela Robertson of Xenia, OH and Patricia Prothro of
Tollhouse, CA. Mr. Adams had four other children from a
previous marriage, a son, Jimmy Adams of Riverside, OH; and three
daughters, Linda Benkhen, Brenda (and Tony) McIntosh and Peggy
(and Lonnie) Combs, all of Dayton, OH; sixteen grandchildren; two
great granddaughters, McKenzie and Madison, who lived with them,
as well as five additional great grandchildren.
Along
with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers,
Gordon, Joe and John Adams and four sisters, Maggie Wright,
Alberta Adams, Viola Day and Molly Mitchell.
Visitation
will be Thursday, June 16th after 6:00 pm at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral
service will be held on Friday, June 17th at 1:00 pm at
the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother Lester
Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in the Tarter Cemetery
in Nancy, Kentucky.
