Cheryl Ping, age 57, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
She was born on September 9, 1967 in New Castle, Indiana, daughter of the late Lionel and Barbara Brown Leduc.
Cheryl was a beautician and of the Christian faith. She was a very talented artist who enjoyed painting, art, writing poetry, and books. She was a street minister that spread the gospel of Jesus to anyone that listened and gave her life helping others in need. She especially had a heart for the homeless and addicts. Cheryl loved and cherished her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Ralph Leduc.
She is survived by her sons, Mitchell Mikel (Haily) of Anderson, Indiana and Matthew Crawford (Madeline Thurman) of Somerset; daughter, Kelsey Mikel (Kiera McKissic) of Lexington; brother, Alan (Brenda) Leduc of New Castle, Indiana; sister, Cindy Leduc of Galveston, Indiana; grandchildren, Severus, Bellatrix, Hadleigh, Saige, Graham, Kaiser and Calla.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2025 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 12:00 p.m.
