James “Freddie” Elliott, age 75 of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
He was born on June 26, 1950 in Casey County, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Maurine Elliott. Freddie worked at Sun Chemical in Cincinnati, Ohio for 30 years. He enjoyed watching Kentucky Wildcats basketball and farming.
Freddie is survived by two sons, Freddie Lee (Celena) Elliott and Kelvin Elliott, both of Casey County. Freddie married his loving wife Elsie Elliott, on September 15, 1970 in Somerset. He had five grandchildren, Kaleb White, Dustin Elliott, Brennen Elliott, Sarah Elliott and Marissa Elliott.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Elliott; parents, Charles and Maurine Elliott, and a brother, Danny Elliott (Sarah), and a sister Ruthie Carolyn New, and a granddaughter, Marissa Elliott. He is survived by two brothers, Timmy Elliott, Randall (Trish) Elliott, two sisters, Donna (Bruce) Meece, and Billie Elliott, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Sondra Sanders.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Jeff Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Grave Hill Cemetery.
