Brenda Kay Shelton, age 79, of Bronston, Kentucky, passed from this life on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Jean Waddle Care Center.
Brenda was born on November 23, 1946, in New Castle, Indiana to the late Ardell and Marie Stigall Shelton.
Ms. Shelton was a talented artist who specialized in painting and drawing. She enjoyed baking and cooking, traveling (especially to Hilton Head, South Carolina and Jackson Hole, Wyoming) and sewing. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Brothers, Carlos Shelton and Dee Shelton; Sister, Elizabeth Shelton Kline; and Nephews, Dee Shelton Jr. and Travis Jeremy Shelton.
Ms. Shelton leaves behind to cherish her memory; Her daughter and son-in-law, Nora Yvonne and Steve Morrow of Bronston, Kentucky; Brother Charles Shelton of Lancaster, Kentucky; Sister-in-law, Cindy Shelton of Sellersburg, Indiana, who has always been special to our hearts; several nieces and nephews; A very dear and close friend, Pam Smith of Somerset, Kentucky; Also, friends Chloa Hardy of Bronston, Kentucky and Sandy Keith of Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home, with Bruce Singleton officiating. Interment followed in the Grave Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
