David Arthur Cantrell age 76, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
David was born on February 7, 1949 to the late Arvin Cantrell and Beatric Berry Cantrell in Green County, Kentucky.
He enjoyed fishing, being a life-long UK Wildcats fan, loved his cat babies, playing bingo, and spending time with his granddaughter.
David was preceded by his parents, Arvin and Beatrice Cantrell, brothers James Douglas Cantrell and Billy Jo Cantrell, sisters Arlene Cantrell and Linda Mardis (Bill).
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Judy Cantrell, sons Mark Cantrell and Kevin Cantrell, sister Shirley Sue Cook (Sonny), grandchildren Kailyn Ball and Madison Cantrell; Along with all his sisters-in-law, Freida Cantrell and Lois Cantrell, daughter-in-law Christina Templeman and his Bingo friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 12pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. JT Silence officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky.
Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Honor Guard Post #38.
