Homer Farler, Jr. age 74 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
He was born on January 27, 1952 in Perry County, Kentucky, son of the late Homer Farler, Sr. and Mary Ann Ritchie Farler Cole. He was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed gardening, camping, boating, and attending church. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Willie Ritchie and Herbert Farler; sisters, Martha Farler and Amanda Ritchie; and a granddaughter, Bailey.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Vivian Farler; sons, Jason, David (Laura) and Bobby (Tammy); brothers, Jink Ritchie and Carlus (Judy) Farler; sisters, Ann Riddle, Artie (Butch) Steingdorfer, Anna Marie Ritchie, Ruby Cody, Peggy (Johnny) Pittman and Mary Ann Farler; one granddaughter and two great-grandsons. He is also survived by a host of friends and other family members.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Ernie Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in Mt Victory Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
