Jerry Holsomback, age 71 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
He was born on May 1, 1954 in Somerset, son of the late Edgar and Mary Haggard Holsomback.
Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and he especially loved getting to spend time with his grandchildren. He also had a special bond with his dog, Jasper. Jerry retired from Tecumseh and he was of the Baptist faith. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cheryl Holsomback; sisters, Terri Ping and Barbara Foster; and a nephew, Tony Warner.
He is survived by daughters, Cyndi Armes of Somerset and Brandi Holsomback (Andrew Works) of Missouri; brothers, Tommy Holsomback (Karen) of Radcliff, KY and Chester Holsomback of Ferguson; sisters, Linda Ray of Milton, FL and Brenda Hollingsworth of FL; grandchildren, August Armes, Madison Armes, Kylie Hines, Elizabeth McWhorter, Alex Armes, Addy-Kate Armes, Orion Lyons (Jessica), Abbie Lyons and Olivia Lyons; great-grandchildren, Amara Hockensmith and Mazi McWhorter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Ridener and Jackie Glover officiating. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
