Jerry Wayne Worley age 72, of the Bronston Community, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Jerry was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 22, 1954 to the late Andrew and Flonnie Branum Worley of Cedar Grove Community.
Jerry loved watching TV, playing his guitar and singing gospel songs with his wife Charlene at church. He was of the Baptist faith.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Flonnie Worley, his wife Charlene Sluder Worley, his daughter and son-in-law, Mike and Angela Hockensmith of Danville, Kentucky, two brothers, Ruben Andrew Worley and Ken Worley, five sisters, Ruby Harison, Ida Lockard, Carolyn Lockard, Margie Harrison, and Anita KayWorley; along with Lee Swanner whom he loved like a son.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his two grandchildren, Andrew and Niomi Grace Hockensmith, his fiancé of six years, Sandra Worley, two brothers, Jimmy Worley of Somerset, and Danny (Nadeen) Worley of Bronston, and one sister Claudia (Brian) Watson of Burnside, several nieces and nephews, some close as brothers and sisters to him. Jerry loved people, spending time with family and friends. Jerry worked at River Metal Scrapyard for 37 years.
Visitation for Jerry will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 5pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 12pm with Bro. Perry Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
