Mary Ann Nevels, age 68, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Mary was born on September 30, 1957 to the late Edward Allen and Mary Adams Allen in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was of the Jehovah Witness faith. She enjoyed camping, riding horses and four wheelers, boating, playing cards with her family, and listening to Conway Twitty and Elvis. She married the love of her life, whom she loved more than life, her husband Cecil on June 7, 1976.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Nevels Jr., son Brian Scott Nevels, daughter Debra Lashell Nevels, and brothers Dennis Allen, Roger Allen and David Allen.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Cecil Clarence Nevels III (Marcia) of Wayne County, Ky; daughters: Malynda Alexander (Jamie) of Nancy, Ky and Susan Edmon (Billy) of Somerset, Ky; loving sister Janice Sewell of Somerset, Ky; 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; nieces: Ronnette James (Clifford) of Somerset, Ky; Krystal Lyons (Keith) of Nancy, Ky and nephew Steven Allen of Somerset, Ky. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 11am to 1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. Jason Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Quinton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
