Paula S. Cox Hargis, age 70, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
Paula was born on February 17, 1956 in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Robert Cox and Nancy Davis Cox Southerland.
She was a member of Burnside Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts, working jigsaw puzzles, playing games on her phone, and reading mystery books. She loved her family and cherished spending time with her grandson, J.D. Hargis. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Along with her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her brothers: Tommy Cox and Dale Cox. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 45 years, Jerry Hargis, her sons: Dusty Hargis (Kayla) of Liberty, Ky; Michael Hargis (Chris), Jon Hargis (Ivy), and Tyler Armstrong all of Somerset; her brother, Al Cox (Stephanie) of Eubank, Ky; sisters: Annie Sims and Sharon Canada both of Somerset; and
grandson, J.D. Hargis also of Somerset.
A private graveside will be held at a later date. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Paula S. Cox Hargis.
