Richard Gene Casada, age 93, of Burnside, Kentucky, passed from this life on Monday, March 9, 2026 at his home.
Gene was born on November 5, 1932 to the late Richmond Casada and Mary Francis Hughes Casada in the Keno Community of Pulaski County.
He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed deer hunting, taking walks, camping, being outdoors, motorcycles, and bikes. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He most of all cherished his family.
Along with his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Mae Appleby Casada, his son, Paul David Casada, brothers: Earl Edward Casada, Lorenzo Casada, Leroy Casada, Matthew Casada, David Casada, Paul Casada, and Steve Casada, sisters: Sarah Tucker, Ona Dalton, Millie Ballou, Ester Powers, Ida Ballou, Esteen Shelton, and Easter Casada.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters: Jeanie Mae Casada and Mary Ann Anderson (Bill) all of Burnside, Ky; granddaughters: Jaime Helton and Paula Souder (Chris) and grandson David Logan Casada; great-grandchildren: Tiara Stephens, Isaiah Stephens, Ian Dick, Amelia Souder, and Realena Souder and great-great grandson Zyaire Stephens.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 10:30am in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 12:30pm with Bro. Troy Merrick and Bro. Lonnie Sewell officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard Post #38.
