Ruby Casada Whan, 86 of Somerset, Ky passed from this life on Monday February 23, 2026, at Somerwoods Nursing & Health in Hospice Care.
Ruby was born on March 15,1939 to the late Clint and Charity Neely Casada in Kidder, Ky. She was a lifetime member of Liberty Baptist Church.
She enjoyed taking pictures, dancing, flower gardening, music and the Kentucky Wildcats.
Along with her parents Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Robert Whan, 4 brothers Chester, Ray, Marvin and Starlin Casada. 1 infant brother: Hurstle, 1 sister Euetta Keith, 4 sisters in law: Flonnie, Christine, Verdina and Jeanette Casada, 2 brothers in law: Russell Nicholas and Lowell Keith.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: 1 sister Joyce Nicholas, 3 brothers: Denver, Bobby (Hilda), Boyd (Brenda) Casada, sister-in-law Fredia Casada. Along with several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Bro. Adam Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery in Kidder.
