Joyce Johnson

Joyce Johnson age 73, of Monticello, Kentucky passed from this life Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Russell County Hospital.

Joyce was born February 27, 1946 to the late Victor L. Herzog and Nora Mook Herzog in Akron, Ohio.

Joyce was of the Baptist faith and member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She was a retired nurse and loved her family more than anything in life.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Martin Johnson; and a brother, Paul W. Herzog.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Douglas Johnson of Monticello, Ky and a brother, Victor L. Herzog.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday with Bro. Ron Shaw officiating.

Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.
