Mary Lou Dargavell

Mary Lou Dargavell, age 53, of Richmond, Kentucky formerly of Somerset passed from this life on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the A. B. Chandler, UK Medical Center in Lexington.

She was born on December 1, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Jeanette Compton Lewis and the late Bige Begley, Jr.

Mary Lou retired in 2008 from New Life Industries in Somerset where she had worked for a number of years. She was united in marriage to Billy Dargavell on June 7, 2008 in Berea, Kentucky, they have enjoyed 9 years of life together. Mary Lou was a member of the Redemption Road Church of God, Junction City, Kentucky and enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time with her family and attending her church. She was full of life and enjoyed it to its fullest. Mary Lou had a special love for her pet dogs; “Benji” and “Bandit”. She will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Besides her Father; Bige Begley, Jr., she is preceded in death by her Step-Father; Banca E. Lewis.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her beloved Husband; Billy A. Dargavell, her loving Mother; Jeanette Compton Lewis, of Somerset, her Daughters; Carol (Adam) Loose and Jessica Spellman all of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Liza Dargavell and Christina (Justin) Hubbuch of Berea, Kentucky and Billy-Anna (ben) Collier of Corbin, Kentucky, 2 Brothers; Lill (Angela) Lewis of Little Rock, Arkansas and Edward Lewis of Somerset, Kentucky. Her beloved grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with; Blakelee Spellman, Trenton Wilson, Trace Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Makenzy Hubbuch, Gunner Hubbuch, Hayley Collier and Maddie Collier.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 29, 2017 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Nancy, Kentucky.

Johnny Lewis, Adam Loose, Marty Hunt, Ben Collier, David Lewis, Justin Hubbuch and Jarrod Davis will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Mary Lou Dargavell Monument Fund.

Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Mary Lou Dargavell.
