Ona Burton

Ona Burton age 93, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Monday, February 1, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Ona was born August 2, 1927 to the late Rev. John and Dina Foster in Wayne County, Kentucky.
She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, drawing and coloring. She also enjoyed canning and picking black berries, but most of all cherished spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Ona was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John and Dina Foster, husband, Charles Burton, children, Charles Burton Jr., Paul Trimble, Waylon Burton and Dina Barbzote, brothers, Vestle Foster, Estle Foster and Jewell Foster, daughter-in-law, Judy Coffee, grandchildren, Elizabeth Coffee, Joe Coffee, Michael Burton, great-granchild, Asheron Hawkins, great-great-great grandchild, Clayton Noel.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Ignacio Cruse Trimble, special daughter, Kathy (Ricky) Gibson, son, Richard Burton, grandchildren, Lorie Burton, Ona Sears, Willie (Annesia) Burton, Waylon (Keisha) Burton, Waylon Dale (Tonya) Burton, Paula Burton, Harley Burton, Zoe Slaughter, Ignacio Brasfield, Johny Dale Brasfield, Roxann Brasfield, Savina Barbazote, Mark Barbazote, Toney Randell, Summer Correll, Jessica (Brandon) Smiley and Jonah (Hollie) Pack, special daughter-in-law, Karen Calhoun, 34 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 12 to 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. with Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating, burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Harley Burton, Willie Burton, Waylon Burton, Ricky Sears, Jonathan Sears, Vola Sears and Waylon Dale Burton.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Ona Burton.
