Danny “Whistle Pig” Wayne Sears, age 30, entered his forever home on Friday, January 5, 2024.
Danny married his wife, Victoria, spontaneously on July 1, 2014. He was born to Darrin and Sharon Sears on September 7, 1993. He was of the Baptist faith and would share God’s love with anyone who would listen. He was the adult Sunday School teacher at Sulphur Springs Church. He was working towards getting his plumbers license at Roney’s plumbing, where he was employed. His children were the light of his life. He would spend hours riding them around on his tractor and teaching them how to drive it. He loved collecting things, mostly tools, impacts, chains and guns. But above all he loved his family. To know Danny was to love him. He was always just a phone call away even at 3am. He knew how to brighten the mood and make people smile.
He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, paternal Arnold and Linda Sears; maternal Vernon and Ruby Dick, and two uncles, Rodney Sears and Johnny Wayne Dick.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Victoria. A daughter and a son, Faith Marie and Jordan Wayne. His parents, Darrin and Sharon Sears. Three sisters, Kelli Sears (Chris Harris), Rachel Sears, and Vinnie Sears. His in laws who he loved like a second set of parents, Ron and Norma Sears. A special uncle and aunt, Jerry and Karen Dick. He leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 5-8pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11am at the funeral home with Bro. Ron Sears and Bro. Marvin Rose officiating along with a special reading by Rachel Sears. Burial will follow in Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers are as followed, Shawn Dick, Rodney Dick, Chris Harris, Jerry Dick, Darrell Dick, Jake Troxtell. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his children.
