Dreama Jo Smith

Dreama Jo Smith ran into the arms of her savior on December 31, 2023. Dreama was born on June 22, 1970 to the late Jesse Clayburn Meece and Joann Meece in Somerset, Ky. She was a faithful member of Dripping Springs Baptist Church.

Dreama was preceded in death by her parents Clayburn and Joann Meece, and a brother JC Meece.

Dreama is survived by her husband, Doug Smith, whom she married on March 3, 1995 in Somerset, Ky. Together they shared a love and bond that could not be broken.

Dreama leaves behind to cherish her memory, children: Dennis (Chassada) Smith, Jessica (Alex) Decker, Josh (Crystal) Mullins, Sierra, Melanie, Elijah, Cameron, Peyton, Kaylyn, Lakyn, Lucas and Tracy Smith.

Her legacy will live on through her grandchildren: Sarah, Zachary, Jace (Smith), Luke, Hunter, AJ (Decker), Zoe, Elias, (Smith), Neveah, Kayla and Josyah (Mullins).

Dreama also leaves behind siblings: Larry, Albert and Ashley Meece; special in laws Rodney and Mauricia Smith, nephew Jeremy (and son Brantley), niece Theresa (Matt) Backus and nephew Brandon Phelps.  A host of nieces, nephews, special friends, and countless foster children entrusted in her care over the years also mourn her passing.

Dreama enjoyed going to the beach, weekend trips to Gatlinburg, fishing, playing bingo and spending as much time as she could with her family. Above all, she loved sharing the word and love of her Lord and Savior with all those around her.

A funeral service will be held to honor Dreama’s memory at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 11-1 with service to follow. Burial will take place at Cumberland Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating.
