Florence Elizabeth “Libby Cox” Latham

Florence Elizabeth “Libby Cox” Latham was a loving mother, wife, granny and dear friend to many. Libby was born to Mary and Parker Cox on June 23, 1944 in Burnside, Kentucky.  Libby left this world to be with the Lord on October 31, 2021 at age 77 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

If you had the pleasure to meet Libby, you would remember her for her beautiful blue eyes, lovingly bluntness, sense of humor and love of the Lord. Libby attended Church of God Prophecy. She was easy to love and loved others so easily. She enjoyed spending time with her cats, watching Soap Operas and Westerns, drawing, painting, sewing, writing, Facebook and spending time with her loved ones.

Libby is survived by many who will miss and who loved her so dearly. Her children; Ronagene (Eric) Farwick, George Henry (Teresa) Latham, and Ron Halcomb, Jr. Her grandchildren; Angelina Farwick , Samantha (Troy) Reynolds, Autumn (Blake) Gibson and Kyran Sanders. Her great grandchildren: Hunter Reynolds and Sadie Reynolds. Her siblings; Phyliss Jones, Hazel Stout, William “Bill” Cox, and Freddie Ray Cox. Her cats: Kit-Kat, Billy Bob and Babe. Along with countless other special friends who were more like family to her.

Libby was preceded in death by her Parents; Mary and Parker Cox, Husband; Gene Latham, and Siblings; Ella Mae Howard, Delbert Cox and Charles Cox.

The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 with Bro. Roger Dykes officiating. Libby will be laid to rest following the service at the Sloans Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to God’s Food Pantry and Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Florence Elizabeth “Libby Cox” Latham.
