Harold “Chicken” Dean Maxey

A Private Celebration of Life service will be held.

Harold “Chicken” Dean Maxey age 64, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Sunday, February 28, 2021 at his home.

Harold was born February 25, 1957 to the late Walter Maxey and Iona Gregory in London, Kentucky.

He was of the Baptist faith, a member of Lake City Beagle Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and Kentucky Basketball.

There was nowhere on this earth Chick would rather be than inside a briar thicket, chasing a rabbit with his brother, Glenn or on the water with his sons catching a catfish. We’ve traveled the country together to do the best we could to make these memories for this time. Chick lived his life to the fullest and made every day count. We will forever cherish those memories together and long for the day that we will all rejoice together once again. I promise to continue to make you proud, Your Son, Bob.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Virginia Hensley, a brother, George Wayne Maxey and niece, Jody Lynn Maxey.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons, Robert Maxey of London, Dwayne (Michelle) Maxey of East Bernstadt, KY, brothers, Walter (Norma) Maxey of London, Cecil (Shirley) Maxey of Georgia, Virgil Michael Maxey of London, best friend & brother, Glenn (Diane) Maxey of Somerset, Ronnie (Bridigette) Maxey of London, sister, Mary Sue Baker of Cincinnati, OH, grandchildren, Kameron Maxey, Amberly Maxey and Chayton Maxey, nephews, Michael Maxey, Wesley Finley, Deron Maxey, Bobby Baker Jr., Steve Hensley, Wayne Maxey, Doug Maxey, Tim Maxey, nieces, Tiffany Finley, Casey Pfabe, Debbie Neal and  Robin Baumgarten.
