Kathy M. Gibson age 64, of Somerset passed away on Saturday October 23, 2021 at the Jean Waddle Care Center. Mrs. Gibson was born on December 31, 1956 in White Lily, Kentucky to the late Oscar and Josephine Hargis Bray. Kathy was a member of Nelson Valley Baptist. She enjoyed attending church, going to yard sales and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Bray; mother, Josephine Hargis Bray; brothers, Roger Dale Bray, Jimmy Wayne Bray, William Jearl Bray, Wesley Bray; sister, Betty Jean Bray; great-grandchildren, Clayton Anthony Noel, Luca Anthony Noel, and Kimorah Joyce Campbell.
Mrs. Gibson leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 33 years Ricky Gibson; children, Lorie (Douglas) Burton of Somerset, Ona Sears of Somerset, Willie (Annesia) Burton of Somerset, Waylon (Kisha) Burton of Somerset, Jessica (Brandon) Smiley of Somerset and Hollie (Jonah) Pack of Shelbyville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jonathan Sears, Jacob (Katelynn) Harrison, Ricky (Amanda) Sears, Savannah (Jeremy) Harrison, Kathy (Christian) Noel, Cheyanna (Austin) Harrison, Sarah Burton, Abigail Wesley, Tristan Burton, Hannah Sears, Noah Smiley, Jaxson Burton, Max Burton, Isabella Pack; great grandchildren, Ravyn Harrison and Kimaya Sears; siblings, Ronnie Lee Bray of Somerset, Vona (Bobby) Stewart of Somerset, Wanda Ridner of Somerset, Linda Acton of Somerset, Bonnie Lou Davis of Garrett County, Peggie Ellen (Ernie) Simpson of Colo, Kentucky, and Donnie Burton of Somerset.
Visitation for Mrs. Gibson will be Wednesday October 27, 2021 from 4-8 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday October 28, 2021 at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Childers and Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Lake Cumberland Alzheimer’s Center.
