Larry Godby

Larry Godby, age 62 of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born on September 3, 1960 in Whitley City, Kentucky, son of the late Gordon and Laura Taylor Godby. He enjoyed going camping and riding motorcycles. Larry was a very proud Papaw and loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Stoney Godby.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Godby; son, Christopher Godby; daughters, Samantha (James) Ball and Alisha (Andy) Raley; brothers, Ron Godby, Don Godby and Scott Godby; sister, Sharon Archangel; and grandchildren, Allie, Navi, Levi, Bob, Drew, Lyndsey, Keegan, Chloe and Niko.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Lanis Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Eagle Creek Cemetery in Parkers Lake, Kentucky.
