Oliver Eugene Troxtell

Oliver Eugene Troxtell, age 82, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away from this life on Friday, February 16th, 2024 with his daughters by his side.
Gene was born May 18, 1941, to Andy William Troxtell and Sarah Elizabeth Nevels of Pulaski, County.
Gene enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He was a member of Local Union 101. He retired from Kentucky Utilities at age 63. He was of the Baptist Faith, enjoyed going to church and witnessing about Jesus Christ. He enjoyed fellowshipping with his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Sarah Troxtell; his wife Velma (Henderson) Troxtell; son Jeffery Scott Troxtell; grandchild Dustin Rainwater; brothers Thurman, Jim, Hershel, Bob, and Donald; sisters Lucille Adams, and Darlene Bowman.
He leaves behind to treasure his daughter Cindy Correll of Somerset, Shirley Ann Troxtell of Somerset; sister Faye Warren of TN; brother Ray, and Jack; grandsons Jamie (Marie) St. Clair, Lee (Jennifer) St. Clair, Nick (Tabitha) St. Clair and honorary grandson Kristian Gleason; great grandchildren Kaylee St. Clair, David “Little Red” St. Clair, Addison St. Clair, Axton St. Clair, Maci Lynn Troxtell, and Chloe Ann Troxtell; special family friend Dennis Compton.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation service will be on Thursday, February 22nd, at 5-8pm and Funeral service on Friday, February 23rd, at 12pm Parkers Mill Baptist Church. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery.
