Pascal “Pac” Sutherland

Pascal “Pac” Sutherland, age 92, of Somerset, passed from this life on October 5, 2017 at the Homestead Past Acute Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born August 13, 1925 son of the late Oscar Sutherland and Alice Withers Sutherland Steele in Madison County, Kentucky.

Mr. Sutherland was of the Baptist faith. He served as a night watchman at Somerset Motor Sports and loved watching Westerns and reading Western Novels. Pascal served his country honorably with dual service in the United States Marine Corp and the United States Army. He was retired from the Somerset Cooper Power with over 20 years of dedicated service and with Rural Electric Corporate of Winchester, Kentucky. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son; Pascal J. Sutherland, Jr., and his fiancé’ Amanda Blevins of Somerset, grandchildren; Shawntay Maria Sutherland, Pascal John Sutherland III, and Michael Shane Sutherland III, niece; Immicolata Woodridge of Somerset, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 10:00 to 12:00 pm in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon, p.m. on Tuesday with Bro. Wanda Price officiating.

Full Military Honors will be performed by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.

Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.
